Supercritical Pressure Vessel – EV500
The EV500, part of Core Separations’ EV Series, features a 500 mL volume capacity and a two-part head design that enhances seal life and serviceability. Engineered as a high-pressure, high-performance extraction and reaction vessel, it is ideally suited for research, development, sample preparation, and process optimisation across a diverse range of applications.
Engineered for ease of use and safety, the EV Series features an innovative threaded cap, energised sprung seal, and a two-headed design. This not only allows tool-free access from both ends for fast cleaning, but also helps prevent premature seal wear during closure, extending service life and maintaining reliable performance.
Constructed from high-strength 17-4PH stainless steel—around 60% stronger than 300 series stainless steels—the vessels achieve reduced weight, thinner walls, and improved heat transfer efficiency.
With scalable internal geometry, the EV Series offers a direct pathway from lab-scale experimentation to pilot-scale process development, ensuring smooth and reliable process scale-up.

Maintainence and Repair of our CO2 Pressure Vessels
Although our CO2 vessels have been designed for 10,000’s of pressure cycles, the repeated removal of the head to charge and discharge the pressure vessels contents acts to wear the seal. A regular schedule of maintanence ensures that the CO2 vessels keep working for longer periods and reducing the downtime to your research and production schedules.
